Dr. Nichole Johnson received her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry graduating magna cum laude from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. She received her medical doctorate from Texas Tech School of Medicine in 2005 and then completed her internal medicine residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX in 2008. Dr. Johnson first discovered a special interest in wound pathology while in medical school through her rotations in burn ICU, wound care and dermatology and is committed to a full-time practice in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. After serving several years as Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, as of January 2021, Dr. Johnson has transitioned as Interim Chief Executive Officer for Wound Integrity.

Dr. Johnson is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Texas Medical Association and is currently board certified in internal medicine. Prior to joining Wound Integrity, Dr. Johnson practiced as a hospitalist for over seven years.

In her spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She also enjoys traveling.
